Massage Therapists have worked very hard and continue to strive to be regarded as allied health care professionals. With that in mind, they/you should consider the following question: Do you tip your physician? physical therapist? chiropractor? etc. The answer will most likely be a resounding “no”. There is a difference between a massage “therapist” and a massuese. If you have body work done by a “therapist” a tip should not be expected, offered, or taken. Doing so detracts from the professional nature of the “therapy”.
